Giuliano Cavaliere - violin
 

Giuliano Cavaliere, violinist, was born in Cava de’ Tirreni (Italy). At an early age he moved to Rome, when he was admitted to sing in the Pueri Cantores of the Sistine Chapel Choir, conducted by Domenico Bartolucci. He studied violin at the Conservatorio “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, where he graduated in 2006 under the guidance of Camillo Grasso and he earned a M.A. degree in violin with the highest honours (cum laude). He then attended the Master Course held by Sonig Tchakerian at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Furthermore he graduated in composition and chamber music with the highest honours at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia.

He has also attended special courses and masterclasses with renowned violinists, such as M. Marin, M. Sirbu, S. Kamilarov, S. Accardo and F. Ayo. He studied with Michael Frischenschlager at the Salzburg Mozarteum and with Mi-Kyoung Lee at the Académie de Musique “Tibor Varga” in Sion, Switzerland; in addition, he attended an one-year course in Chamber Music with Trio di Parma in Fiesole (Italy).

Founding member of the Trio Mythos, he performed in many Italian cities for important institutions and concert seasons, as well as in Germany, Austria, Holland, Slovakia, Malta, Greece and United States as member of various chamber ensembles and orchestras. As a chamber performer he played for prestigious musical institutions, such as Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and Fondazione Musica per Roma (Rome), Festival dei Due Mondi (Spoleto), Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra (Vatican City), Italian Cultural Institute in Bratislava and Athens, Klagenfurt University, and many others.

He played in many orchestras conducted by important conductor such as Aprea, Renzetti, Pradella, Lucantoni, Rizzari, Morricone, Piovani and others. Furthermore, he participated in important festivals of contemporary music playing many compositions in world premiere, as member of PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble) and Italian Ensemble Piccola Accademia degli Specchi. Since 2012, he is violin's professor in the pre-academic programme at the Conservatorio "Santa Cecilia" in Rome. Currently, he is also professor Chamber Music in Conservatorio of L'Aquila.
